personality

Zaira tends to keep to herself, always out of others way and investing herself in her hobbies and actual friends. However, once you talk to her, she is actually very warm and talkative. She's usually just not sure how to approach people, or doesn't want to bother someone. she's strong willed, stubborn, and a hothead when it comes to things she's passionate about, such as dance and music.

Since she was 6, she's done dance and piano. Then at 11 she started guitar and viola. She is in the school Orchestra and Dance program, but generally does piano and guitar at home, since there are only beginner classes at the school.

Once you become Zaira's friend,you'll see how fun loving and happy she is. She can be serious, but can also make someone in trouble laugh. As long as she's not mad at them. You will also notice that she seems to have an opinion on everything and will say whatever is on her mind, hardly ever filtering anything. Unless it's going to hurt someone, but sometimes not even then.

history

For her first 6 years, Zaira had the typical perfect lifestyle. It was her parents, her and her older brother. However, eventually her parents started fighting, and her mom became depressed, her father an alcoholic, who sometimes took his anger out on his children; physically and sexually. No one on the outside knew about any of their problems, though, their parents made sure of it. Zaira and her brother, Aiden, still went to their lessons for whatever they wanted, and were still provided for. Eventually, her fathers sexual abused went to the extremes, to where not only was he raping her, but he would also let a few of his friends join in. Sometimes strangers.

Even though her home life was horrible, Zaira excelled in school. She was allowed to skip first the third grade, though it didn't change anything in her home life like she'd hoped.

By the time she was 12, Zaira's parents fighting reached the breaking point, and she watched her father kill not just himself, but her mother as well. Their neighbors called the cops, and Zaira and Aiden were placed in the care of their Aunt Sierra. Both Zaira and her brother were signed up for counseling. Zaira stopped at 13, as she seemed to be doing amazingly: she's skipped another grade, and was acting like a normal child, or, well, a brilliant one.

She got her first boyfriend junior year at 14. The first six months was the perfect dream relationship and she was just beginning to feel happy again. But he turned out to be just like her father and started beating her. After a year, she broke up with him. He refused it and kept trying to force her to be with him. Stalked her, threatened her. Little did he know she was pregnant with his child, but got an abortion out of shame. Eventually, his family moved. By then, she was cutting herself regularly and hasn't stopped since. She blames herself for everything. If so much wrong happened to her, isn't it her fault. She still keeps a happy face on. And genuinely is, when she's with someone she loves or is having a good time.

She graduated high school at 15, the same year as her brother, and moved away to California for 5 years to go to college. She's now a nurse, though many think she's lying. She looks way too young to be a nurse, right?
