She has always been one to put up a fight, whether it was taking a bath when she was little, or fighting her curfew when she was older. She was the nightmare child, the one that ruins parents dreams of having a big family. She fought her father and her step mother, Shannon, every step of the way. Her father believed that, though her ability to talk her way out of almost anything was against him now, it would be a good ability for her in the future. Lahni has always been the type of person to blaze her own trail. She doesn't exactly break the rules, but if they are preventing her from doing something, she might just bend them. She also does not "follow" any one. Girls that do follow one girl in particular make Lahni sick. She thinks that everyone should have their own personality and their own ideas, not agree with everything that everyone else says. That makes a person boring. Lahni was never one of the "popular" girls. She doesn't care about hair and makeup. She thinks there are more important things in the world then making yourself beautiful. Lahni has a hard time getting a long with girls in general. She has always been one to hang out with the guys. Girls are frequently jealous of her because she is hanging out with their crush or boyfriend. She has never been the girl a guy cheated on their girlfriend with, but she has been the girl they tell when something like that happens. history Father: Marcus Hale Mother: Jenaveve Kentworth Siblings: Brennan Hale Other: Shannon Hale- Step mother. Michael Kentworth- Grandfather OVER ALL HISTORY Lahni was the product of a drunken one night stand by two stupid teens. Marcus and Jenna were only nineteen at the time of the event, neither truly old enough to raise a child of their own. Lahni's parents came from completely different worlds. Marcus was a trailer park baby, raised by a drunken, abusive father and a mother to scared to stand up for her only child. When Marcus was sixteen he got emancipated from his parents. He left and never looked back. Marcus worked hard in school graduating when he was sixteen. He worked two jobs to afford to put himself through college, taking night classes at the local JC. He graduated from college with his AS degree in business when he was only eighteen years old. He transferred to a four year university to get his bachelor degree, he made it halfway through the program before he had to stop because he had to raise his daughter. Jenna was the daughter of Senator Michael Kentworth. Her mother was a high money lawyer that represented athletes and celebrities. Jenna's mother died when she was only two years old from breast cancer. Jenna was raised by a team of nannies, only ever catching glimpses of her father. None of her interactions with her father lasted longer than a few minutes, and those few moments were usually for interviews or anything media related. After the few moments were up, Jenna would be rushed away by her nannies to be pampered some more. Jenna got decent grades through high school, graduating close to the top of her class. She used daddies money to get accepted at Yale, where she majored in boys and drama. After the one night the two spent together they parted ways, knowing that they would most likely never see eachother again. Nine months later, baby Lahni showed up on Marcus's front step. She had a note from Jenna, claiming that her father could not have her raising a child without a marriage because it was not good for the campaign he was compiling. She claimed that Marcus would receive a hefty check every month that would be used to care for their child. At the end of the note she wrote "I wish things could be different, but since they can't I wish that you will love her enough for the both of us. I named her Lahni, the rest is up to you." Marcus used the first few checks to get himself set up in a house suitable to raise his daughter. After he had every thing major that they needed, he began putting most of the check's away each month so that Lahni would have a college fund when she grew up. Lahni was raised by her father for the first three years of her life. She never once wondered where her mother was, or thought it was odd that other children had two parents and she only had one. After Lahni's second birthday, Marcus got a job offer in Modesto. He packed up their life, sold their house, and then they were off. His new job took him away on weird hours, forcing him to hire a nanny. Her name was Shannon, and she became the closest thing Lahni had ever had to a mother. Where Shannon became Lahni's step in mother, she also became Marcus's step in wife. Doing everything a wife would do without the romance. Then one day there was a spark. Marcus and Shannon began to see each other as more than just employee and employer. They saw each other on a romantic level now. Shannon and Marcus had Brennan before Lahni's fourth birthday. They married shortly after. Where Lahni was stubborn, Brennan was sweet. Lahni was jealous of her new brother, believing that her parents would love him more than her. She soon realized that this was a stupid thought, and that she should be ashamed for even thinking it. Lahni grew protective of her little brother, he was her younger sibling after all, why shouldn't she protect him. Lahni's high school years passed quickly for her. She stayed out of the drama and was on every sports team there was, soccer, volleyball, basketball, even the rodeo team. She never was on the cheer team, thinking it less as a sport and more of a over rated dance squad. She had told this to the cheer coach when she had been asked to try out, and lets just say she had not been to happy to hear Lahni's comment. Lahni graduated from high school with a 3.8 gpa, not high enough to get into her school of choice. So she decided to get her Associates degree then transfer to UC Davis after receiving her AS Degree. Her goal is to become a Equine Vet, specializing in legs. |
