personality

Caleb is an arrogant and rather rude individual. Growing up and getting everything he wanted you could describe him as the typical spoilt rich kid which, in some ways, he is. Despite abandoning his parents, not being rich anymore or having a high social status he is still as arrogant as one can be. He's a bit of a narcissist and is pride of his own work not of what his parents did although it does play a huge role in his life and personality.


His parents never taught him how to behave or how to act in front of others who weren't as rich or famous as they were so this comes natural to him. What are manners? He would intentionally bump into someone just out of fun. Oh, when you talk to him don't expect anything nice coming out of his mouth. Since there is no filter, nor is he a very nice person to begin with, he is used to hurting people with his words and actions but then again doesn't really care.


You don't need to push the right button to get on his nerves and make him explode. You just need to push ANY button and it will happen. He's someone who is easily angered and irritated it really doesn't take anything out of anyone to accomplish that.


Being reckless got him into trouble and fights a lot. He is someone who steps into every fight there is, sometimes starting it sometimes just trying to stop one. He just does what he wants to do. He’s a rebel. Rules do not exist for him. He's far from being a careful individual. 


He is definitely someone who acts before thinking. It's almost like a reflex. Thinking before acting is overrated. He does take his actions into consideration to think of the outcome of it. This also gets him into quite a lot trouble often enough.


He can be quite stubborn and usually doesn’t listen to others no matter what they tell him. He is thick headed and nothing really gets through no matter how many times he gets told. If he has something set on his mind he will do it and he does not accept a 'you can't' 'don't' or a 'no'.



Curiosity can be both dangerous and advantageous. He's someone who would go looking for mysterious noises coming from a very dark alley with no one else around. This guy has always been a curious child, sneaking in and out of buildings whenever it looked mysterious enough to be home to something dangerous or even by just hearing a stray cat.


He usually has something to say on every matter and there is no filter. He's brutally honest and doesn't really care about the other's feelings, not even taking them in consideration. He says what he wants to say and usually says something before he can react or even think about possible outcomes. This can be good and bad. On one hand he doesn't shy away from saying his opinion but on the other not everyone likes hearing what he has to say - and most of the time it's not something nice.


His good looks and famous parents definitely help build up his confidence. Always getting what he wanted and not having to worry about anything. He always had a good status in school, was always able to brag about his parents and himself. However, this is neutral. He is not overconfident nor does he lack confidence. There aren't many things that could crumble his confidence although, it might just be an act.



He is a gentle guy when it comes to people who need help - patients for example or simply someone who is hurt. He doesn't pity them but those are the only moments he can actually show that he is not the greatest jerk on earth. He might not appear like it but it's almost as if you switch the light button on, letting light into the darkness.


If you get on his good side he can be rather easy going and is actually fun to hang out with - that is if he counts you as a friend. Don't let the above scare you. Even though there aren't many people he really likes, he does like to communicate with others and just hang out with friends.


Caleb loves volunteering at hospitals or private clinics and if there is something he is devoted to it's medical work. It is probably one of the only things he just loves doing and won't ever give up on it. Ever since he was a child he played doctor on his pets. If he had to give up on it, it would destroy everything.


Ever since dropping out of college and losing his parents' support he worked different part time jobs to earn his own money to get by. He is determined to live on his own because he is sure he doesn't need his parents or anyone's help. He's not someone who easily gives up. Just like his parents you could describe him as workaholic but without money you don't really stand a chance nowadays.


They always say you have to be born tough but this is not quite true. Caleb used to be sick often when he was little, always having to stick to his bed whether it was the flu or just a terrible cold. With his nanny around he did as he was told, took medicine and rested while watching his favorite cartoons and well, just being sick. This changed though after he decided to become a doctor. While he knows one should rest and be patient he does not like lying in his bed all day doing nothing. While he may not like being sick he cannot be bothered to even stay at home. No matter how bad it is he would go out and work, not caring at all. He also can handle stressful situations and times very well.


Despite growing up without the attention of his parents and some events happening he never lost his optimism. Even though he didn't finish college, does not work as a doctor and has yet to fulfill his dream of becoming one he's not one to easily lose his optimism and turn into a pessimist.


Caleb secretly worries about the people he cares. Of course he usually hides it behind his normal 'I'm a jerk I don't like you' attitude but in reality he does care about people. Depending on the person he would even follow them home just to amke sure they'll arrive safely.

history

Originally from New York Caleb grew up in Manhattan. His father worked as a judge, his mother as a lawyer. Both were quite famous in their respective fields of work. Workaholics fits them perfectly, but thanks to that they were also rich. As they raised him, or well the nanny who raised him, he became spoilt and arrogance showed. Whatever he wanted he got it, be it a toy or food. Not having a sibling was convenient but lonely. Even receiving tons of presents on a daily basis and not just on his birthday or christmas didn't fill out that hole. Though, as he got older he cared less and so the gap transformed into a tiny dot but it was still there. Not having siblings was one thing, but due to his parents working day and night everyday he kind of grew up without them. Sure, he had lots of friends but they weren't really real friends and just hung out with him because he was rich just like them. So in the end his only true friend was Adora, his nanny. They hung out together, playing games just like kids were supposed to, watched movies together, ate fast food and took walks. Those were the only times he actually enjoyed and had fun. Unfortunately, after turning 14 his attitude changed. Now that he was in high school he became the popular kid who apparently everyone seemed to like. His attitude and personality changed rapidly from the fun and loving child to the cold-hearted and arrogant jerk he turned into. Ignoring her and doing everything to hurt her she left him.

Wth her gone and no one to actually care about what he was doing he started getting into trouble more often by starting fights, skipping classes and hanging around with people who weren't the best company one could have - not that he was either. He spent his parents' money buying unecessary things just to annoy them but whatever he did, no matter how bad it was, they didn't seem to care. Doesn't mean he stopped.

It was already decided that Caleb had to go to law school and become a lawyer or judge just like his parents. He wasn’t interested in law though, not a bit. But what he wanted did not matter to them nor did they even listened to him and to his wishes for his future. His future. They didn’t allow him to decide for himself despite being almost considered an adult. So, even after arguing and rebelling he was forced to go to law school which of course he didn’t enjoy. It didn’t take long for him to start skipping classes and sneaking into medical school without his parents’ permission. Medical school was where he wanted to go – he wanted to become a doctor.

Since he was little he was interested in medicine, surgeries and all things related. One day, while walking home from school, he was witness of an accident. The streets were blocked and there was no way for the ambulance car to get to a hospital in time so they decided to do an emergency surgery in the middle of the street. Fascinated he observed and watched. Of course they didn't have all the equipment they needed but it was still something that changed his thoughts about it. On that day he decided what he wanted to do in the future and it was definitely not something his parents wanted.

At the age of 22 he got into a fight with his father and somewhere in the middle of it he mentioned the fact that he was adopted. Now, this didn’t really affect him much nor did it surprised him. He really didn't care anymore. However, one the next day he decided to drop out of medical school, packed his bags and just left for wherever he would end up in. He travelled across the states before settling in Modesto, California where he acquired a job as bartender and lived there for a year now. Although he hadn’t considered going back to college yet he tries to volunteer at the local hospital often.
