Cecilia has always been the type of girl to want to get her hands dirty. She considers herself rather artsy, though she puts all of her artistic talent into decorating cakes at the local bakery. She’s always the type of person to offer up conversation, especially if the person looks lonely. So most would consider her incredibly friendly, especially if they could manage to get past her usually pouty face of concentration. Cece does have a temper though and when upset, tends to go off on a rant in French. It isn’t often that people get under her skin enough to set her off, but it does indeed happen. She’s always been known to get into fist fights, though rarely, if it’s in defense of her nature or one of her friends. And relationship? They’re beyond the poor girl. She’s had a couple exs in the past, but none of them were long lived. She tends to freeze up around guys and stutter or blush the color of her favorite pink to decorate with. And if you ever wanted to see her be a complete clutz? Bring a hot guy into the bakery she works at. The girl has tripped over her own feet more times than she can count and face planted into a cake thanks to her nerves. Because of this, she's absolutely certain that she'll die alone, which is a rather depressing outlook for what is usually such an optimistic and rather passionate female. Cecilia was actually born to the Reid family in France, in the small town of Nice. They lived near the beach in the little village until she was eight. Her father landed a job as a lawyer in a firm in the states, considering he was originally from California, which meant that their family had to pack up and leave the town. Of course, Cece’s mother didn’t mind to be leaving her home because an exciting new life for her and her family would begin in America. The Reid family settled in New York and Cece’s father began to travel for work, taking up any job that the new firm threw at him, even if it was far away. Cece saw little of her father because of this and formed a strong bond with her mother. At the age of fourteen, Cece’s life changed drastically. Her mother died in a car crash, leaving the family to just her and her father. Her father threw himself into work even more, leaving Cecilia alone to basically raise herself for a year. Her father remarried a year later and that’s when Cece discovered her love for baking and dark colored clothing. The dark clothing was an attempt to piss her new step-mother off, which worked, and the baking was to help her forget about the rest of the world. She threw all of her emotions into decorating and the strenuous activity of mixing ingredients, since she didn’t have the allowance to buy the expensive mixers she desired. Once graduating high school, Cece moved out and changed her style back to the more classical clothing she was used to. She spent two years in New Orleans, learning to become a pastry chef, before returning to New York. At twenty-one she landed a job at the newly opened bakery as their cake decorator. She was offered a manager position at the bakery, which she had planned on taking until her father announced the new baby with his new wife. Feeling pushed further away, Cecilia turned down the promotion and packed up once more. This time to California, where her father was originally from. She’s only been in Modesto for a couple weeks but she’s already managed to land a job as decorator at the local bakery, getting to throw herself back into her art. |
