elise is an incredibly loving human being. she adores people and is always the first to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. she is at least aware of how dangerous that could be for someone of her petite size, but she’s always felt that people react better to kindness than anything else. this isn’t to say that she’s nice all the time though. ellie can have quite the temper and isn’t above hitting someone if it comes to that. she’s been in a fight or two in her past and has smacked her fair share of guys over the years. she’s a strong believer in defending oneself and the beliefs you have. she also tends to be the first person to stick up for someone that is being picked on, even if she doesn’t know the person. she was bullied quite a bit in high school for being a nerd, always toting her camera around to take pictures, so she had it more or less ingrained into her that if someone didn’t stick up for her, no one else would. elise doesn’t want other people to feel that way, so she speaks up when something is going on. ellie is also a bit of a hopeless romantic. she takes extreme kindness and attention for feelings sometimes, which can get her in some rather nasty spots because usually that’s not the issue. but mostly it’s just that she wants someone to return her feelings and for a love that lasts, even if she thinks it’s incredibly naïve of herself and a pointless goal more or less. she can’t help but work toward it and let her heart get away with her.

ellie was born into a pretty normal home. she’s got a twin brother and has always spent her time trying to bond with him, even if that meant arguments and fights when they were younger. they were a middle class family. her father was an international lawyer, so they saw very little of him growing up which elise always simply assumed was normal. and their mother was a school teacher. when ellie’s father was home he was constantly watching football games, which is where her interest in the sport came from. she used to spend hours curled up on the couch with her father, yelling at the television. for her fourteenth birthday, her mother bought her a camera. since that point on, elise has always had a camera glued to her. she owns several these days, including a few digital ones and an incredibly expensive nikon. upon graduating high school, ellie decided to attend college to obtain an art degree. her interest in art was quickly shot down when she realized that she had quite a knack for journalism. it wasn’t something that she had intended to find interest in, but elise quickly switched her major in her sophomore year. despite the sudden switch, elise is still often seen with one of her cameras, unable to give up the hobby despite her change in career path. her choices for college are something that her father still gives her grief over though her mother has always encouraged her and her brother to chase their dreams to their fullest extent.
