HISTORY
meet seattle quinn bellamy, a seventeen year old junior here at atherton pryce hall. seattle - and please, only call her that; any nicknames will serve to make her dislike you instantly unless you're explicitly told you can use one - hails from london, england, where she had a bit of tumultuous history. she was born to a pair of sixteen year olds who were utterly unprepared for what parenthood would bring them. her father went on to finish school and get a stable job, whereas her mother, an irish transplant, quit secondary school to be a stay at home mother. her father coped with the terrible tragedy of having to get married and have a family so young by going out to bars nearly every night, never being home to tuck little seattle in, and sleeping around with whoever would have him. because of this, seattle has few memories of him. her mother decided to take up drinking and smoking and seattle had to be her caregiver in a role reversal. her mother would get verbally abusive, hit seattle, and even leave some permanent scars in the forms of cigarette burns in a few places on seattle's body. at the age of fourteen, when seattle was still trying to discover her sexuality and was terrified of anyone learning of her confusion, she slept with her "boyfriend." this boyfriend, a dreadful guy by the name of brad, didn't use protection despite assuring seattle he would. in a twist befitting a lifetime movie, seattle wound up pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption after she turned fifteen. it was an open adoption, but seattle only saw little abigail once before she realized it was too painful to do again. when seattle turned sixteen, she filed for legal emancipation, was granted it, and moved to live with her aunt and uncle. this aunt and uncle pair, much more kind than her parents ever had, decided that the best thing for seattle was to start over again in america. at atherton pryce, to be exact. so they paid for her to move overseas shortly before seattle's seventeenth birthday, which brings her to where she is now.∙ seventeen, senior, gay, single

HISTORY
PERSONALITY
seattle is a complex person with many facets to her personality. she's a very talented girl, particularly in the area of drawing. her specialty is black and white portraits, although she almost never tells her subjects that she's drawing them. she prefers to doodle during class or try and memorize as many features of an interesting face as she can before she goes back to her room and does the full sketch. it can take her anywhere from an hour to several weeks, depending on her level of commitment. she has a near photographic memory that only misses minute details, but enough that it's not perfect. if she had the motivation, seattle would love to become a tattoo artist. so what if she doesn't look the part? she's never let other peoples' judgments stop her. seattle belongs in the sloth category because she's nothing short of lazy. she lacks the ambition to do just about anything, as well as the focus. her schoolwork is mediocre at best and she has a habit of picking up different things only to drop later when they get too tedious for her to keep up with. if she actually took the time to show it, seattle is a very bright girl with a lot of potential. alas, it'll take something big to jar her out of her lackadaisical state. seattle manages to slide by with a lot of people because she's very charming. she has a way of making the person she's talking to feel like they're the only person in the room. she reins them in with a wide, affable smile, and keeps them rooted to the spot with her clear, captivating blue eyes. she knows exactly what to say to make people feel special. you know that kt tunstall song, "suddenly i see?" seattle is that girl from the magazine. because of her bubbly personality, people like to be around her. she's almost always got a smile on her face and is like a ray of light, managing to crack jokes at the perfect time and using her perceptive nature to figure out when people need a shoulder to cry on or a kick to the ass to get them going. however, seattle can be unfortunately emotional. some days her temper is so fierce it's hard for her to interact with other people. other days she cries spontaneously and doesn't want to get out of bed. she's afraid she might have bipolar disorder, but she doesn't want to get diagnosed and become a medicated zombie. so she uses her cheerfulness to cover any negative aspects of her personality and turns to cigarettes and her pyromania to deal. she loves fire and setting things on fire, but it's just a hobby. nothing serious. finally, seattle is basically fearless. she has no real fears to speak of, like spiders or clowns or even death. there are bigger fish to fry, as she likes to say, and so she makes a conscious effort not to worry about that kind of thing. what happens after you die is of no consequence to her, so she likes to live life fast and reckless. she's the kind of girl to jump out a second story window just because she wants to know what it's like to fly for a second and who will follow a stranger without a second thought. hey, if it doesn't kill her, it'll make for a great story later, right? RELATIONSHIPS
friends are something that can be seattle is going to have a lot of. it's easy for her to get along with just about anyone because she makes them feel so special and wanted. however, seattle can get a bit tired and spacey when it comes to friendships, so the other person will have to make a bit of an effort. however, seattle is a wonderful friend. she's loyal to the death, always up for adventure, and knows exactly how to make someone laugh, stop crying, or feel like they're worth something. romance is something that i'm looking forward to with seattle. she's the kind of girl who seems a bit iffy on relationships on the outside, but on the inside she craves one. she's never found someone who genuinely likes her and doesn't want to use her for a quick social boost or to say that they have a girlfriend. she's a warmhearted romantic sap who will make mix tapes, write love letters, and put her girlfriend above all else. so whoever dates seattle will be very lucky. however, she can be a bit needy and clingy when it comes to relationships, so boundaries might need to be set. she also takes a while to really open up about her problems - in fact, she's never done that with anyone, but i would love a romantic prospect for her to do that with - so they'll have to be patient. seattle will probably not have a lot of enemies because she makes an effort to be nice to people unless they really piss her off or do something to hurt her friends. people can always hate her for reasons beyond her control. maybe there's a girl who's pissed her off and she didn't hesitate to get physical. seattle's the kind of person who will only let her words do the talking for so long before her fists get involved.
