He thrives in the social scene, and can talk to just about anyone. He's very good with words and wants to become either a firefighter, a counselor, or a doctor. He's always the good guy; helping people when they feel sad, or being the first to offer whatever it is he has if someone needs it. You need a place to stay? His couch is open. Need a ride home cause you got fucked up? He'll be right there. He's not reckless, but he tends to walk the line. His care free nature can get him in trouble, because he sometimes doesn't know when to stop. For the most part, though, he respects authority. Unless he knows for a fact he's right and they're just abusing their powers. His mom taught him to respect people unless the disrespect you. Then it's a fair game. Just like his brother, he can dig a bit too deep into the sarcasm pool, but he usually means it in a good-natured way. He seems to always have a smile on his face, even if he's not in the best of moods. He just wants to make people happy. If, however, you do see Eli alone and looking like he's in a bad mood, it's best to leave him that way. He'll probably just snap at you as well. The only people he wants around at times like that is his brother, mom, or a very very close friend. history Eli was born 8 minutes prior to his brother, Elliot, on December 3. Or at least, he likes to say so. They're not really sure, as keeping two identical babies from being switched isn't as easy as it might seem. They're parents mixed them up when they were young. They swear they know who's who, but the boys just don't believe them. Eli could be Elliot and Elliot could be Eli! They like to hold it over their moms head whenever they can. Eli and Elliot were basically the same person for their first 10 or 11 years. You couldn't find one without the other. They slept together, played together, always had the same teacher, same friends. They even dressed alike on occasions. There was no Eli without Elliot. Or Elliot without Eli. It just wasn't natural. Their mother was a doctor and their father was in the army, so they were often busy. However, they always made time for family trips. And made sure the boys were raised right. Manners, bed times, good communication, and chores. The normal family stuff. Eli thought his life couldn't get any better. His parents were madly in love, his best friend lived with him, he got whatever he wanted so long as he listened, and he was doing great in school. However, at 12, his father was killed in action while on a tour. The family was devastated. But they pushed through. Having inherited their grandparents mansion a few years after the boys were born, they didn't have to worry about housing, and their moms well paying job took care of them quite nicely. Though she did take on a few more hours to make up for what their dad made. The emotional toll wasn't as easy. Eli took it as his job to take care of Elliott and his mom, cause he was -as far as he knew- the oldest. He still see's them as his responsibility and it also is why he's such a reliable friend. It's just in his nature. Freshmen year, Eli got his first girlfriend. General holding hands kinda stuff. A few dates. Ya know, freshmen shit. Sophomore year came, he and Brenna were still together. Things were getting more serious. She was his first everything. Around February, after a year and seven months of dating, Eli found out Brenna was pregnant. He was scared, and didn't know what to tell anyone. The only other person who knew was Emmet, as he and Brenna wanted to know what they should do first. A few weeks later, Brenna went to the doctor to confirm it, and so it was confirmed. They would be having a baby, and she was already four months. Crazy, right. They choose to wait to tell everyone. By this point, Eli had a job, and started saving everything on Brenna or putting away for the baby's expenses. Another month goes by and they decide they can't wait any longer to tell anyone. She was small for being five months but she was already wearing big sweaters or loose, frilly shirts daily. They decided that having dinner with each family on the following Monday and Tuesday would be best, after Brenna's annual camping trip with her family that weekend. Thursday comes- Brenna's ultrasound- it's a girl! They'd already decided on Cassidy Mae for a girl. So Cassidy Mae Carson. Sunday night comes and Eli gets a call. There was an accident. He rushes to the hospital, only to find that Brenna didn't make it. He starts screaming about the baby. Explains to Brenna's parents that she was 5 months, but the baby, to no ones surprise, doesn't make it. Brenna's family moved away, and Eli could never manage to tell anyone about what had happened. Of course they knew about her death, but no one knew she'd been pregnant. He was depressed for around 7 months, then slowly came out, day by day. He was changed by what happened, of course, but now, years later, he's learned to live with everything that happened. He kept up his grades through high school, graduated, and now attends the Community college. |
