The young man has his moments, but he tries to keep it all on a peaceful level. After much that has occurred in his life, he has become extremely grateful for every thing in his life. Whether it's something as big as having a home to reside in, or something on a smaller scale, he makes sure to let it be known it's appreciated. Simon is rather friendly, and working as a bartender has helped him to become much more outgoing. Because Simon has had to become the only breadwinner of his family, he's learnt to be independent. While not always a bad trait, a good relationship between two people should, whether that be romantically or friendship, be able to mutually depend on one another, a foreign concept to Simon. Decision making would be something Simon would be good at by now, but he is still largely indecisive. He is easily swayed and often even looks to his younger sister, Lottie, for advice. history Simon's mother, Olivia, gave birth to him in her late teens, the bullying she received caused her to drop out of high school to solely raise Simon. His father, Walter, actually stuck around and helped raise Simon. Walter stuck with school, and proceeded into college where, later in life, he would soon become a wealthy businessman. The relationship between Walter and Olivia was rough, and it was soon found out that Walter cheated, Olivia still wanted to work things out, but Walter packed up and left, and would later marry the woman that he had an affair with. Olivia got into a new relationship not long after, Simon was about ten years old at the time and doing fairly decent in school. Everything was starting to turn out OK for the family, they felt like they could let the past just go and move on with their lives. Olivia eventually got pregnant with Simon's sister, Lottie when he was fifteen years old. Lottie's father quickly dumped Olivia and ran off, not wanting the responsibility that came with having children. Things once again became hectic with the family. Olivia raising a newborn child, along with Simon, who was also in the midst of questioning his sexuality. To make matters seem worse, Olivia found out she had breast cancer. The family was already struggling financially and was soon buried in medical bills. Sadly, Olivia's battle was lost on Simon's nineteenth birthday. Not only was the young man without a mother, he was left to care and provide for his four year old sister and a pile of debt. Numerous times Simon attempted to contact his biological father for help, reaching out. He was constantly denied any contact and later gave up. Since the duo needed a source of income, Simon needed to get a job. Luckily, he had at least made it through high school, earning his high school degree, but his dreams of going to college were shattered, as he took up bartending. With his new job, he finally earned just enough to hold down a shabby, rundown apartment, and have food money. Anything else you could spend money on, such as visiting an amusement park, he couldn't afford. Any extra spending was rather tight, Although his primary job is working at a bar, he does and will accept odd jobs every now and again. Any way to get extra money on the side, he's up for. Simon finds himself seeking revenge on Walter, as uncharacteristically of Simon as it sounds. He wishes to relieve his debt, and climb the ranks in business, taking his father's crown. Though seemingly impossible, he will jump at any chance he gets to push forward with his idea. |
