She doesn't stress about things very often and is good with rolling with the punches, so to speak. Because she is such a traveler, she doesn't generally have big, important office jobs, and that suits her just fine. She prefers waiting tables because it is really the fastest way to meet people in a new place. She puts her full effort in to almost anything she does. The only thing that is a real issue with her lifestyle is that Acacia is not very experienced with falling in love and dating people. Her biggest fear, which is having regrets, makes her believe that she can't stay in one place too long. Her dream to see the world controls her life and, honestly, she doesn't even notice that it is slowly taking away any possibility she has of finding some place to call home. history Acacia was not always a traveler. Before she turned eighteen she lived her life like most people. She went to a normal, boring high school, met normal, boring people, and hated every second of it. With a single mother who drank too much, it was easy for Acacia to walk out the door on her eighteenth birthday and never look back. Her first stop was Mexico. Since she was only eighteen, the drinking age issue was a huge draw. Also, it was the closest foreign place to her home in Lake Livingston, Texas. She spent almost a month in Mexico City before crossing the border back into America and hitting Oklahoma. Despite her expectation that Oklahoma would be boring and terrible, she actually really ended up enjoying her stay there. She moved into a little studio apartment and worked as a waitress in a small college town. In fact, Oklahoma remained Acacia's home for almost a year. She dated people, worked hard, and even thought about going to college. That was all before some guy broke her heart. After the break up, she started bouncing from place to place more quickly. She flew to China for three days, Japan for a week, Russia for a month. In fact, she never planned on staying anywhere long than the amount of time it took for her to get some money to move on. She rode busses across Europe, hiked through parts of Africa, and eventually ended up returning to California. |
