general likes Baking (primarily sweets), romantic comedy movies (basically, she's all for anything sappy/cheesy,) learning more about the American culture, Christmas (she goes all out, wears 'ugly Christmas sweaters,' socks, the whole enchilada,) small animals, the colors pink and blue, video games, and India dislikes Napping, not being proactive (she can't sit on the couch for hours upon hours,) horror movies, being scared, rollercoasters, being misinformed, rainy days, her shyness, her heavy accent, her height of 5'4", and football strengths Hardworking, team player, good cook (take that how you will,) passionate, sympathetic weaknesses Her height can be a nuisance at times, overemotional, sympathetic (she can hold back from scolding someone when they need it, feeling bad for them,) fears Having to go back to India, being fired from her job, meeting no friends in America, failing college, and large animals habits Talking in her native tongue when upset, excited, angry, etc,scrunches her nose when nervous, laughs in awkward situations, uses her hands to talk (from trying to explain to others what she's trying to say when she doesn't know the English equivalent) personality Subashini, also referred to as Ash by many Americans for the sake of simplicity, is rather soft-spoken, not being naturally loud by any means. She also happens to be a hopeless romantic, fawning over any cute, sappy, gestures. She's obsessed with any romance movies. Despite her infinity for the though of love, she is quite oblivious and does not easily pick up when she is being flirted with, or, how to flirt in return. At a young age, Subashini was overemotional, crying over any type of jab at her. She does not take criticism well, a large disadvantage for the type of career she wishes to pursue, and is not thick skinned. Despite her being at a disadvantage in the baker career path, she makes up for what she lacks with passion for the career. Many late nights are spent in the kitchen trying to perfect a particular cupcake. Some could say she is a bit of a workaholic in that sense, but it simply because she strives to be one of the best in America and to open up her own bakery. Subashini is a shy girl, being minimal at first encounter, but she quickly warms up to a person, showing a more fun and goofy side. This also ties in with her extreme physical modesty. She is not one to show much cleavage or anything too short. history Subashini was born into a loving family in the depths of Mumbai, India. Her childhood was that full of love and she has yet to experience extreme loss in her lifetime. Her household consisted of her grandparents, parents, and three older brothers. She was shown much love in her life, and continues to receive the warmth that helps her move on when times are rough. By no means was Subashini popular in school, but she was well liked and had excellent grades. In her early teen years she started to express a large interest in baking, and spent much of her waking hours slaving in the kitchen, striving to do her best. She joined many competitions but always found herself placing second. After many years of receiving second place at a constant rate, she decided to leave India, to learn in America, to perfect her skills. It was a rushed decision, caught up in the moment. She bought a moderate house just for herself and applied for a college in California. Her entire family was rather against her leaving and a large family feud broke out just before she left for America, leaving a patchy relationship behind. In America, she hopes to grow in skill, to beat her rival back in India, and to possibly start up a bakery of her own. |
