With her bubbly and upbeat personality it’s quite nearly impossible not to like her. She’s quirky with a lot of smiles and doesn’t give a shit of what you have to say about her. She enjoys the outdoors, the arts, and baby animals! Yes, baby animals. Puppies, kittens, tigers, lions, hedgehogs... oh my. She has one orange tabby kitty she adopted while living in Modesto named Crookshanks. And before you ask, yes, Tillie is a Harry Potter fan. Maybe not a diehard fan, but she’s read the books and seen the movies to say the least. So yeah, Tillie is a lovable, weird, energetic young woman who gets along with most everyone. Those that she doesn’t get along with are those who think their better than everyone else, or others that can’t handle her own crazy self. history Born all the way in Monterey, Tillie Nicole Carlson was born a healthy baby to Marianne and Kyle Carlson. They’re only child in fact. Growing up, Tillie didn’t have to worry about much. She was raised in a particularly wealthy family. Her mother being a nurse practitioner and her father being a software developer. Tillie has always been into the arts, something she got from hanging around her dad, and often had coloring books and markers lying around the house since she was in diapers. The Carlson’s have always been the kind of parents to push their daughter into a life they think she should succeed in. Not could, but should. Which is why growing up, Tillie found herself acting out to be more free and exotic, always running off, climbing trees, drawing in the trees. All to get away from her obsessive parents. She loved her mom and dad, and they loved her... she just felt at times that they would hardly let her be herself and have fun. Everything was either their way or the highway. One example is when Tillie was starting high school. She didn’t have many friends, and if she did, they were mainly guy friends. She had one or two girl friends growing up, but that was it. Well, her parents thought she should get into the dating game. Which was awkward, because the only guys she knew were her best buds. She told her friends about what her parents were trying to lead her into, and ironically, one of her very best guy friends admitted to having a liking for Tillie for about a year. So Tillie decided to give it a shot, make her parents happy as well as Derrick. Unfortunately, that only lasted for about three months. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Derrick, she just could only find room for friendship for him. So in other words, she friendzoned him. They remained friends however, which made both Tillie and Derrick happy, but not her parents. And it didn’t get any better from there. Because fast forward to Tillie’s junior year of high school, she found a new female friend that she rather fancied. And that was when she realized her true sexuality. No, she wasn’t a lesbian, but a bisexual. She found attractiveness in both sexes. Of course, her parents didn’t find out about this right away. Although they could have found out about it better than they did originally, with them walking in on Tillie and her “friend” Samantha making out in her bedroom. They had been having a secret relationship going for nearly six months before her parents forced them to break up. Naturally, Tillie was hysterical. She ran off more often, mostly to hide away in her secret hideaway in the nature forest to cry, scream, and draw her emotions out. Tillie never forgave her parents for what they did, which was why she was ecstatic to find an acceptance letter to her university choice in Modesto, California. Sure, it wasn’t that far from where she was now, but it was far enough. She had her licence, she had her car she had gotten as a graduation present, and she got new art supplies. Tillie didn’t know what she would find herself doing in Modesto, but she wasn’t about to wait around, she got out of there the moment she was handed that diploma. Now as strict as her parents are still, that doesn’t mean they’re mean. Tillie has never had to work a day in her life, for everything was practically given to her. But she’s not a brat about it. She knew better than that. But her parents handed down money for college as well as offered to pay her apartment rent. As nice as Tillie was, and hated how she was just handed things, she didn’t mind this. For she still haven’t forgiven her parents for making her break up with her love. So them paying for all of this without her asking was just dandy with her. It got even better in Modesto when she met JuLong in one of her general classes. He seemed just as silly and weird as she was, which was what attracted her to him in the first place. Of course, things started playful and harmless: playing video games, listening to music, hanging out on campus, stealing each other’s foods... About a year later though, the unexpected happened. Something Tillie thought wouldn’t happen again since Samantha. She and JuLong became a thing. Of course she didn’t tell her parents about it right away. They wanted to play it slow in case something happened, and Tillie’s parents would do just the opposite. Fast forward again a couple years in Tillie’s senior year of college, and she is now engaged to JuLong. They’ve both met each other’s families, everyone loves one another, and as soon as they graduate college, they plan on getting married as soon as possible. |
